Reaching the Unreached

MMI
Story

Reaching the Unreached

We desire to stand in the place where the heart of the Lord remains, and where the gaze of the Lord falls.

We long to worship in the place where God weeps and His heart breaks.
By God's love, we seek to walk the path that He leads.

No matter the trials we face, we will not be shaken.
Instead, we desire to worship the Lord, proclaim God's righteousness and the Gospel, and make disciples.

We will seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
In the final frontier, may we rise together against the injustices that attempt to hinder God.
We dream to witness God's will being fulfilled among all nations,
just as it is accomplished in heaven.

Ultimately, like the confession of all saints in Revelation 22:20,
we will cry out, "Maranatha," and welcome the Lord who is coming again.

Our Focus

1040창

Unreached People Groups (UPGs)

There are still approximately 12,000 to 17,000 Unreached People Groups (UPGs) remaining around the world. Nearly 90–95% of these groups are concentrated within the “10/40 Window” — the region located between 10 and 40 degrees north latitude. Moreover, the 10/40 Window serves as the epicenter of ideological, philosophical, and religious systems that oppose God, including Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Atheism.

We must bring down everything that exalts itself above God through the power of the gospel and proclaim the message of eternal life to all nations.

Missions to the Islamic World

While religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, and traditional folk beliefs tend to be regionally confined in both presence and influence, Islam — rooted in monotheism — is expansive and assertive. It often merges with political movements and wields significant power, even to the extent of engaging in armed conflict.

In addition to this external influence, Islam’s strict principle of zero tolerance toward apostasy contributes to its rapid growth. The global Muslim population is increasing much faster than the world’s general population. In 2010, Muslims represented 23% of the global population (1.6 billion people), but by 2050 this number is projected to rise to 30% (2.8 billion) — an increase of approximately 73%. By that time, the global populations of Islam (30%) and Christianity (31%) are expected to be nearly equal.

Ultimately, if we are to identify the religious context that most urgently requires concentrated missionary effort among unreached peoples, it is the Islamic world.

MMI is committed to advancing into the frontlines of God’s mission — to the very places that most strongly resist His will. Together with all nations, all generations, and all churches, we will stand against all forms of unrighteousness and faithfully carry out the righteousness of God to the very end.

Missions to the Unengaged Unreached People Groups (UUPGs)

Among the Unreached People Groups, there are still nations and tribes that have never heard the gospel and have no active missionary presence. These are referred to as Unengaged Unreached People Groups (UUPGs).

Many of these groups live in remote border regions far from missionary reach, or in areas affected by civil unrest, which makes access extremely difficult. However, through short-term mission teams traveling as visitors, ongoing gospel outreach is possible. As these teams collaborate with long-term missionaries, churches can be planted and the gospel can spread widely and effectively.

The ministry to UUPGs represents the church’s obedience to Matthew 24:14, proclaiming the gospel to all nations, and the fulfillment of Acts 1:8, where the Holy Spirit empowers believers to be witnesses to the ends of the earth. Through this, as Ephesians 4:12 declares, believers will be equipped, and the body of Christ will surely be built up.

We believe that worshiping God and glorifying the name of the Lord is our highest priority.
To fulfill God's great will, we dream of sharing His vision with all nations, all churches, and all believers in order to partner together in His work. By the power of the Gospel and the Holy Spirit, we long to go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey all that the Lord has commanded.
