AI is being used as a tool to monitor and persecute Christians

Concerns have been raised that artificial intelligence (AI) is being used as a tool of persecution to suppress and monitor Christians. “Authoritarian regimes like China and Iran are using AI facial recognition technology to spy on people of faith,” Steven Schneck, president of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), told the U.K.'s Premier Christian News on Monday. In particular, he noted that AI technology allows members of the Chinese Communist Party to monitor Christians in worship, enabling a level of tracking and repression never before possible. Schneck emphasized that these issues are not limited to specific countries, and that similar technologies can be used to suppress or control religion globally, and that it is time to develop mechanisms to counteract them.

1. for the rebuke and destruction of the Chinese and Iranian regimes and oppressing the church with AI technology, rebuke and destroy the officials in China and Iran. May it not spread to other parts of the world. Let the Chinese and Iranian churches under surveillance be victorious churches that keep the faith in the midst of persecution. May they never stop sharing the gospel and move forward each day with a spirit of martyrdom.

2. Pour out heavenly wisdom on church and mission leaders so that they may be sensitive to the changes brought about by the development of artificial intelligence and develop effective strategies and directions for the times.
